Power transistors for industry electronics





Vishay Semiconductor Itzehoe GmbH was founded at the end of 1996 as TEMIC Semiconductor Itzehoe and became a subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology Inc. in 1998.

 

Vishay Semiconductor Itzehoe GmbH is part of the business division Vishay Siliconix and produces PowerMOS-transistors - special power transistors which are needed in computers, mobile phones, automobiles, fixed network telecommunications, and in many other applications in industry electronics.

 

Vishay runs a semiconductor production line in a class 1 state-of-the-art cleanroom of ca. 2000 m² in the Fraunhofer ISIT premises. The chipfab in Itzehoe employs around 170 staff and produces ca. 150,000 silicon wafers (150 mm in diameter) per year.

 

The corporate group Vishay Intertechnology, inc. located in Malvern, Pennsylvania/USA is one of the world's largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductor components and passive electronic parts. These are used in a number of electronical products. Vishay owns production sites in 17 countries and has over 27,000 employees worldwide.
