Condias GmbH
DIACHEM® for clearwater revival
Condias GmbH is a Fraunhofer spin-off founded by its directors Dr. Thorsten Matthée and Dr. Matthias Fryda in 2001.
In 2003, the company received the Schmidt-Römhild technology prize for pionier achievements in the area of conductive diamond coated electrodes.
Condias GmbH develops and produces electrodes which are coated with a thin diamond layer. They exhibit numerous advantages with regard to water treatment, electrochemical synthesis and special galvanic applications.
Due to the wide range of industrial applications and individual requirements DIACHEM® electrodes are solely manufactured to meet customer specifications. Condias GmbH see themselves as suppliers to manufacturers of water treatment works. When industrial waste water is exposed to low voltage using the DIACHEM® electrodes, even highly toxic organic substances such as oils, lubricants, germs and hormones are reliably destroyed. In addition, the electrochemical process (Electrochemical Advanced Oxidation Process, EAOP) can be used to keep pure water for industrial use germ-free and to disinfect drinking water.
