146 wind energy parks with an installed total operating performance of 210.6 MW have been established and are run by PROKON. They have so far generated 706 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity and are able to power over 100,000 three-person households. PROKON have designed and built a further 26 parks with a total of 42.62 MW performance which they do not run themselves. In the projecting of wind parks, the quality of the location and the consideration of all those involved, including inhabitants, are always of prior importance.

In 2001, PROKON added the field of biogenic energies to their portfolio. This includes the generation and utilisation of vegetable oil as fuel for diesel vehicles in transportation and logistics. Again, all services from energy supply via motor conversion through to setting-up farm oil stations are centrally offered by PROKON in cooperation with competent partners. For instance, PROKON holds a 50% share in PTN Pflanzenöltechnik Nord GmbH from Itzehoe. Together, both companies have already converted 120 vehicles to run on the environment-friendly fuel. Orders for a further 250 have already been made. Apart from converted vehicles, the block power heating station which supplies the PROKON building with electricity and heat also runs on vegetable oil.
